I am a native of Denver, Colorado and a Colorado State University graduate with an interdisciplinary major including English, Business, Philosophy and Writing. My 35-year career as a marketing and advertising executive virtually exposed me to a creative world that inspired my Tinsel creations.
As a branding and marketing consultant, copy writer and project/production manager I have collaborated with artists and processes over the years. I’ve rubbed elbows with art directors, graphic designers, professional photographers, freelance illustrators, TV and radio producers, copy writers, etc. My consulting clients include not-for-profit organizations, adventure travel companies, interior designers and financial advisers. I’ve worked for several of America’s most respected corporations including Xerox, Gannett and Hallmark Cards. I have opened new shopping centers, hotels and movie theatres. Most recently, I worked for Forever Resorts, a National Park concessionaire, to manage their extensive portfolio of national park hotels, restaurants and gift shops.
With all this exposure to creative people, places, cultures and art—plus personal interests that include: gardening, photography, international travel to archeological sites and ancient civilizations, movie-going and self awareness studies—is it any wonder that Tinsel creations manifested in retirement? I have time now—and the artist in me seeks expression in alignment with nature, the elements, the human condition and, most of all, humor and laughter.
